LAAMAR is the latest project led by Minneapolis-based singer, songwriter, saxophonist, and composer Geoffrey Lamar Wilson. After bursting onto the scene in 2023 with his debut single “Home to My Baby,” LAAMAR has had a steady stream of in-demand performances and radio play across Minnesota.

Flowers blends Wilson’s idiomatic inspirations, bridging folk, soul, R&B, and country, with an ear toward racial and social justice issues and the shared human experience. Backed by his dynamic and sharp-eared band, which can evolve to include saxophone, cello, and a rotating cast of guest vocalists, LAAMAR puts on a live show that is at once known to get folks dancing while alternatively leaving them in tears.
